I Heard You Were Dragon – CTD434

You guys! It’s been over a month, but I finally got crafty again!!! Thanks goodness for good friends and regularly scheduled Crafty Saturdays! I can’t remember when I went this long without crafting. I moved at the beginning of January. And I had to clear out my storage unit. So my life for the last 2-1/2 months has consisted of moving boxes. So. Many. Boxes. Right now, I have a temporary craft room set up in my living room. My craft room is currently filled with boxes I need to sort through after emptying my storage unit. Anyway, Crafty Saturday gave me an excuse to take a break from boxes, pack up my crafty things, and spend the day crafting with friends. I took the opportunity to play along with the Color Throwdown. I used gold ink to color this cute little dragon’s horn, wings, claws, and belly. I used copic markers for the rest of him.

Sending You Strength – CTD410

I’ve actually had this card for the Color Throwdown done for a couple of days now. But finding the time to sit down and post this? Friday after work was grocery shopping and then off to a high school football game to see my niece in the marching band. Last week we found a couple of fleas on one of the dogs, so Saturday was giving both dogs a bath plus washing all of our bedding as well as the bedding in their crates, followed by vacuuming the whole house. Good times. The dogs weren’t particularly thrilled by this turn of events either:

I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown Challenge again this week. I don’t know why, but I do love the scribbly circles. I think it’s the doodle-y thing. You should see all notebooks from highschool & college. Doodles all over the place, sometimes filling a page. And I still need to doodle at work if I’m on a conference call or my mind starts to wander and I have no idea what’s been said for the last 5 minutes. I’m actually going to try to send this card. I know! It shocked me too, but I have a friend who is under the weather and I now have a get well card sooooo…

It seems like it’s been a long time since I colored an image. I decided to take some time to play with my new colored pencils to color for my MFT Wednesday Stamp Club card. And I did a little bit of paper piecing to get her umbrella to extend past the edge of the oval panel.
