You Go Gull – MFTWSC339

Well, it feels like forever since I’ve done this. Let’s see if I can remember how to do it! Thank goodness for my crafty friends. Our monthly get-togethers have kept me crafting at least once a month even though moving and setting up my new craft room has taken months longer that I wanted. But it’s getting closer! One more big piece of furniture to move, but it’s a beast!

I’m playing along with the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge with this card. I may not have a fully assembled craft room, but I couldn’t resist trying out the Distress Oxide inks for the first time when I was creating my cloud background. First impression: So easy to work with! FOr the post the seagull is standing on, I masked the gull and the edges and stamped the post with the Wood Plank background stamp with Hot Fudge hybrid ink then finished cloring it in with Copic markers.

One last holiday-ish card. Last week I had a request for a wedding card for a wedding that occured over the holidays. I used the current sketch for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge for this card. I also used my favorite (retired) poinsettia die. I love this die and will never let it go. Not a bad finish to the year!

A super quick card to play along with the Color Throwdown this week. I stamped the image and sentiment with hybrid ink and then I used my ink pads to watercolor the bee as well as the background.

I have a confession. This is the second card I made for the Color Throwdown. I made the first one yesterday, then I noticed I had cut it a little bit crooked. So last night I took the front panel off with my trusty bottle of un-du and tried to straighten up the edges. And at that point I managed to completely jack it up beyond all redemption. Oops. Fortunately, it’s a pretty easy card and I made the second one this morning.

I needed a graduation card this weekend, so I thought the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge sketch this week would be perfect to use with my Congratulations Shaker die. I finished off the inside with a spot to tuck in a small graduation gift.
